Practice interviews with Maya

InfoTek's AI practice interview lets you rehearse a real interview, get a written assessment of how you did, and see where to improve — as many times as you like, without a person watching.

This is practice. It is not a job application.

Nothing you do here is a job application, and nothing here is used to decide whether anyone is hired.

InfoTek does not select, screen, rank, shortlist or reject candidates using this tool. No recruiter reviews your session to judge you for a role. Your score is not attached to any application and it is not passed to any employer. It exists so you can practise. That is the whole purpose.

If you are applying for a job with InfoTek, that is an entirely separate process, handled by people, and how you did here plays no part in it.

What it is

You will speak with Maya, an AI interviewer. Maya is software, not a person. She appears as an animated avatar, asks questions aloud, listens to your spoken answers, and asks follow-up questions based on what you say — close to how a real interviewer would.

You give her a job description and your resume, and she builds the interview around them, so you practise against the kind of role you are actually going for. If you ask Maya whether she is an AI, she will tell you plainly that she is.

What your report tells you

Afterwards you get a written report scoring four competencies from 1 to 10:

  • Technical — depth in the tools, systems and methods the role needs
  • Project Experience — the scale and shape of your work, and your part in it
  • Leadership — decisions you owned, and influence with or without a title
  • Culture Fit — how you describe working with other people: disagreement, handover, mentoring, pushing back

Plus a summary, three things you did well, three to work on, and follow-up questions to think about before your next real interview.

The report is built from the written transcript of what you said, and from nothing else. It does not judge your appearance, facial expressions, body language, tone of voice, accent, or speaking pace. None of those reach the scoring step. "Culture Fit" means how you described collaborating with colleagues — never a judgement about your personality or your background.

If you do not talk about one of the competencies, it is left unscored rather than guessed at. That is a prompt to cover it next time, not a mark against you.

What is recorded

No video recording of your practice interview is created, and no video is kept. Your camera is on so the session feels like a real interview and you can see yourself, exactly as on a video call. There is no file to watch afterwards, because none is ever made.

What is kept is a written transcript of what was said. That transcript is what your report is built from, and it is what lets you look back at your own answers.

Your information

We do not use your practice interviews for marketing. Your transcript, your report, your resume and your scores are not used to advertise to you, are not added to marketing lists, are not sold, and are not shared with employers, recruiters or anyone else.

They are yours. We keep them so that you can come back and see how you are improving across attempts.

You can have them deleted at any time. Email info@infotekguide.com and we will delete your practice interviews and reports within 30 days, including backups. You do not need to give a reason.

Limits

The free practice interview runs about three minutes, and you can take two per day. That is enough to rehearse an opening and a couple of answers properly. The longer session goes considerably deeper.

A word on what this is worth

Maya is a good rehearsal partner and a poor oracle. She can tell you that you never gave a concrete result, or that you said "we" where an interviewer wanted "I" — the things people most often get marked down for and rarely notice themselves.

She cannot tell you whether you will get the job. Treat the score as a mirror, not a verdict.
